I am truly humbled and never dreamed that I would receive that number of subscribers when I started putting up practice videos and the odd tutorial in 2008.

Thank you all for watching, leaving comments and encouragement. I appreciate every single one of you.

To celebrate, the first 10 people to leave me a comment below will receive a free beat pack of their choice from the Studio Scratches Beat Store. Tell me a story or something about the first Studio Scratches video you saw and how the Studio Scratches YouTube channel has been a part of your scratch journey.

Happy Scratching! :D

It was in late 2010. Me was boring, and I was just looking different types of Youtube Videos.

On the right side of the Page i say a screenshot of a Girl who was scratching(it was you Short-E). I clicked on that Video and it began to load.

I Watched it and it was so amazing to see what u are doing. it was really awesome. I looked it over and over again. I searched your Channel for more Videos like that, and i found them. I thought ” I wanna do the same, its so cool”. So that was the Beginning of my Scratchy Life.

Then i started scratching. I never was a Dj before or something like that. I bought me some used TTs and Mixer and started to practice. The Studioscratches Group on Facebook helped me a lot when i was a beginner. I had so much Questions and i got so much help from all off them.

So finally, Studioscratches and specially you Emma, changed my Life.

I love what u are doing and also your great Beats you produced with Maschine.

    Big THANKS Emma.

    Love. Fedo

I have been a turntable DJ for about a year now. I started off by buying a set of C324 Stanton CDJs and I absolutely hated it. I was completely mesmerized by turntablist and the crazy scratches that I just could not get my head around. My love for scratching started when I heard the scratch solo in Sir Mix-A-Lots – Baby got Back.

After getting my first set of turntables, Stantson str8-100, I was set on figuring out how to scratch and your videos have been a HUGE part of my learning process. I love that there are people like you and DJ Angelo, Q-bert that share their knowledge for the next generation of scratch DJs.

Thank you for everything you do and you have my full support on any future ventures.

When I bought my first set up, which will be two years now, I wanted to learn the basics when it came to scratching. I came across studio scratches and the first scratch I learn was the baby scratch. As soon as I got the hang of I just started watching other tutorials from studio scratches youtube channel. What got me to subscribe was the whole atmosphere. It was friendly, sincerity, helpful, good vibe! As well the everything was well explain too! I really enjoyed everything about it so I became a subscriber. It has taught so much about scratching and the articles always have been encouraging. Studio Scratches has been a big part in shaping the artist I am today! Thank you Emma!

Big up Short-e ;) an awesome landmark acheivement, I stumbled across your site/utube when leaning to flare scratch and lean the techniques properly, can’t get my head round the hamster style yet thou :(

I love the clean, fresh layout. both your own and DJs Angelo’s site have been inspirational in my learning while most importantly keeping things fun. The tutorial on setting up needles was a god send , finally got my needles as they should be ;)

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing this golden knowledge ;)

ps looking forward to your videos on the DJ Tech DIF1

Wow that is quite an achievement- 10000 subscribers means there’s at least 10x as many ppl who watch your tutorials and simply haven’t subscribed yet ;)
I recall stumbling upon some of your tutorials while watching a few by DJ Angelo – and for me it’s a toss up because both of you are so complete, consistent, and methodical in your ways that its a pleasure to watch regardless… One thing that always stuck out and usually left me pondering was was your very deliberate “slow flow” style of scratching- certainly intricate and more thought out, accurate and technical than most “wilder” loose freestyle tablists who seem to make up a bit more than their patterns as they go. Not to mention the beats are absolutely awesome for practicing all sorts of cuttin and juggling. Many thanks and best of luck!
