I’ve been working hard over in the School of Scratch. I just upgraded my camera to  a Canon 600D DSLR to provide high quality scratch video tutorials and scratch inspiration videos. I’ve just put it though its paces.

Part of the concept for Nostomania was the idea that sound can pull up long neglected memories. Synesthasia is something like a crossed wire in the brain where one sense connects with another;
a color might have a certain smell, or maybe you can taste a sound.

Dedicated Studio Scratches student Felix recently linked me to this showcase of how he has learnt a new combo scratch I posted a tutorial on a while back.

He took the “Cowafunka” beat from Beats for Scratch Practice Vol. 3 pack, and slowed it right down (using a dvs like serato) then practiced the pattern till he got it down! This is a really great way to learn. Check it out:
