It reminded my of my own scratch journey, this part of which I had forgotten.

This video was the very first piece of instructional scratch tuition I ever received.

It wasn’t even mine – it was my brothers who was already experimenting with scratching.

I lapped it up.

This video was responsible for me switching from regular to hamster. It was Prime Cuts (I think) who demo’d the 2 click flare / orbit style so I just copied it. It took me about a week or two to really get down. I had no idea to do it regular so I switched my whole style over to hamster.

I’ll be writing more on hamster vs regular (BTW it’s not a contest, just a preference!) in the future.

Here’s a little story that must be told.

I recently got connected with Chuck Lapus from No Rival.

Chuck was into Studio Scratches and hooked me up with this tee and a load of stickers and keychains and I promised to record a video of me being a scratch beast and hopefully represent all the brand stands for which I really related to (see below). So here it is above. Hope you enjoy it and that it inspires you to keep scratching and do what you do.
