DJ Brace Nominated for Juno Award

Montreal QC based friend and Studio Scratches contributor DJ Brace has been nominated for a Canadian Juno Award for instrumental album of the year. Check it out here:

A bit about Brace:

Brace has had a diverse DJ career that began in 1998 and features many highlights as a turntablist, producer and DJ instructor. In 2004, he won the DMC Canadian Championship and went on to place 8th in the world. Prior to that He placed 3rd in the 2002 national finals, came in 2nd at Scribble Jam and has won numerous turntablist battles in Winnipeg. Brace hosted a weekly radio program, Keep it Surreal (umfm.com), which ran for eight years. He has produced tracks for Balanced Records compilations, Northern Faction Volumes 1, 2 & 3. Brace also has collaborated with Peanuts & Corn recording artist Gruf the Druid under the moniker Soundbarriers. The duo released a full length album in early 2005 and then toured Canada to promote it. Brace has shared a stage with the likes of Coldcut, Souls of Mischief, Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Awol One, Dstyles, Toadstyle, DJ Excess, DJ Pump, DJ Craze, The X-men as well as others.
